Northwest Summer Learning Labs
Northwest Summer Learning Labs offers free, full-day summer programs that combine academic instruction in math and reading with enrichment activities. Programs are available in Gary, Merrillville, East Chicago, and Hobart.

Academic Results
For a second year, Northwest SLL students achieved double-digit learning gains in math and reading. All Northwest SLL sites were free to attend, creating access to high-quality summer academic programming for hundreds of students across northwest Indiana. Northwest SLL students achieved a 23 percentage point learning gain in ELA and a 14 percentage point learning gain in math.
