BGC Summer Learning Labs

Boys & Girls Clubs (BGC) Summer Learning Labs offers free, full-day summer programs that combine academic instruction in math and reading with enrichment activities. Programs are hosted by Boys & Girls Clubs across Indiana.

Academic Results

Boys and Girls Club of the Northern Indiana Corridor, formerly Boys and Girls Club of St. Joseph County, utilized IDOE’s Student Learning Recovery Grant in 2023 to support robust summer programming. Along with ISLL, they were recognized by IDOE as a high-quality Student Learning Recovery Grant program example. In 2024, they shifted programming to align with the SLL model, partnering with South Bend Community School Corporation and community partners across their service region to create 16 SLL locations. All sites were free to attend.
